Europe Trip: London

The fourth and final leg of our trip was to London. While you would best describe The Netherlands as jet-lagged, Belgium as poorly-timed, and Paris as romantic, our time in London is probably best described as a tad bit lazy. While we did see some major sites and got around to most of the more notable parts of town, we were ultimately too wiped out to push ourselves really hard, so we often opted out of more strenuous, expensive, or time-consuming activities and leaned towards those that would afford us some time to relax (like renting some paddle-boats in Hyde Park, seeing a musical, and even choosing to relax at the hostel more than usual). That said, here's what we did manage to do:

Europe Trip 2009 - 7. London (Part I)
Europe Trip 2009 - 8. London (Part II)

Overall, I think we had a pleasant time in London, and we surely were grateful for not being rained on, but our time there still couldn't really hold a candle to that in Paris. It WAS nice having English being spoken around us for the last days of the trip, and because of this, getting to the airport and onto the plane was super easy. It's too bad the Tube was more-or-less offline for the last 36 hours we were in town, but we eventually figured out the buses, as annoying and inefficiently-run as they are.
