Europe Trip: Paris

Onto the third leg of our European adventure: Paris. There is no question that Paris was the highlight of our two week journey, largely due to its charm and the fact that since we had both been there, there was no need to rush about trying to see everything. In fact, simply cutting out a few things that most tourists do the first time they're in town (i.e. going to the top of the Eiffel Tower, doing the Louvre, and going to Versailles) significantly freed up our schedule. Anyway, here's what we did do:

Europe Trip 2009 - 5. Paris (Part I)
Europe Trip 2009 - 6. Paris (Part II)

My first visit to Paris was kinda a bummer, as the two friends I went with were essentially just using me to keep one of them entertained while the other was working, and then at night they treated me like a big third wheel. So, even though Candace and my trip wasn't exactly what I had been hoping for, our time in Paris still came out as way better than my first visit (and it was charming in and of itself). I used to say that Brussels was my favorite city in Europe, but on this trip at least, I would have to change my mind and say that Paris is way more appealing. That said, if it hadn't been for all that Belgian holiday crap going on, perhaps Brussels would have been much better than it was?

Anyway, go to Paris. It's pretty awesome.
