D+C Visit (Day 3)

So, I did it! I blogged exactly one post for each day of last year, just as I set out to do. I wasn't sure I would be able to do it, as I've never managed to do so with any of my previous blogs, so this is sort of a small achievement of sorts.

Anyway, onto recounting my time with Dave and Carla:

Day 3:

- slow start before heading downtown
- wander around Centennial Park (including CNN and the Georgia Dome plaza)
- snack at Taco Mac while waiting for the Bloomington crowd to arrive
- tour The World of Coke w/Bloomington crowd (Sarah, Mark, Abby, and John)
- head home to prep for New Year's Eve
- drive to my parents' house, meeting up with Candace
- dinner @ One Midtown Kitchen (meeting up w/Tyler + Liberty)
- NYE Spirit-themed party @ Halo Lounge (drunkenness ensues)
- strange visit to The Majestic for late-night diner goodness
- crash @ my parents' place

So, the third day of Dave and Carla's visit was simultaneously both the least eventful and yet most memorable day of the visit (up to that point), largely due to how ridiculous (in an unfortunate sort of way...?) New Year's Eve was. Fortunately, I wasn't one of the people who got too plastered that night, but being the host, it stressed me out just the same (if not more). Still, it was certainly memorable, and I'm sure in retrospect I'll remember it as very fun. I'm glad I can now say I've done New Year's with this gropu of friends. =) Happy New Year!
