This actually happened two weeks ago, but whatever. The day after I went to the No Doubt show, I spent a good portion of my late afternoon and all of my evening with the guitarist in my now-coming-together band, Jeremy. We basically hung out at his place, first working on the song we've got going right now (a reworking of Bayan Pierrot) for a long while and then eating the delicious dinner he cooked (steaks, asparagus, and biscuits). After this, we headed over to see the Passion Pit show at The Drunken Unicorn, but I'll write more about that later.
Most important was how well our rehearsal went. The song (which is currently untitled, as I haven't finished the lyrics and feel like it should wait until then) is coming along, and I've gotten him comfortable enough with the material that he called me a few days later wanting to play some complimentary riff ideas for me over the phone! At this point, I would say that Jeremy is definitely onboard for getting this band going, so as long as we can get everyone together (more on that later as well), I feel I've got his support.
