So, my "last trip to Bloomington" has come and gone, and although it was nice to sit around and chill with Dave, this couldn't possibly change my feeling that I won't need to visit B-town for a very long time. Sure, there were charming parts of the trip, and it genuinely was great to be there for Dave's recital, but the city has run its course for me, and this trip only solidified that.
Now, how about Cincinnati? It was nice seeing Tyler, but short of hopefully going back up there this time next year to see his doctoral comp recital, I really don't feel any need to go back there either. My life truly is in Atlanta now, and I'm happy with that. I don't feel the need to move back to Europe, and at the moment I'm only partially considering moving out West, so if I were to end up here in Hotlanta for a few more years, I think I would be okay with that.
So, I'm glad I went on this trip one last time, even if it ultimately meant just cementing my desire to stay put (or at least to start visiting places I've never visited before). Hopefully Dave and Tyler will come visit me next time, or if nothing else, I'll come visit them somewhere other than Bloomington and Cinci. =)
