Biking Again

To help prepare me for skiing (which can be tiresome on the legs if you're not in shape), I've promised myself I'm going to start riding my bike again. So, during this week before my trip, I'm going to go ride my bike for 30 minutes every day leading up to my flight out, which should be enough to get me in decent shape for some light-skiing. Yesterday was my first day of doing so, and I have to say that I really missed biking on a regular basis. I love being outside, breathing fresh air, getting some decent cardio (my legs were definitely a little tired yesterday), listening to my iPod, and feeling like I'm doing something good for myself. Sure, biking every day before my trip while I'm already stressed out only makes things tougher, but whatever...it's worth it.

Although yesterday's biking excursion was extremely typical in most regards, something strange did happen: I noticed this guy in a souped-up red Porsche with decals on it that said something about a monkey cruising slowly near the park, but upon closer inspection, I was taken aback when an actual monkey poked its head out of the window! Evidently this guy is some sort of rich monkey trainer or something! I was kinda hoping he would park and take the monkey for a walk, but alas, this never happened. Still not sure what this was all about, but it was really cool regardless...
