Dead Space: Hard Difficulty (One Gun)

Although I did just confess to neglecting my Xbox 360 recently, not too long ago I had been playing through Dead Space on the Hard difficulty setting and had stopped playing with only one board left to complete, so tonight I sat down and finished the game once again. In addition, I was playing through the game with an Xbox achievement in mind: beating the game using only your primary weapon, the plasma cutter. At the moment, Dead Space is the only game I have where I've nearly completed all of the available achievements...at the moment I only have two left, one of which is to beat the game on the Insanity difficulty setting, which I'm going to save for later, maybe this Summer.

So, how did I like the game second full time around? It's still fantastic and still manages to scare the shit out of me. While the difficulty setting wasn't so bad by the end of the game, the first two boards were pretty ridiculous. In fact, at one point towards the end of the first board, I ran out of ammo while surrounded by aliens and ended up just having to run for the exit! This was easily the most intense moment of this particular playthrough, although surely nothing will compare to playing through the game the very first time.
