St. Patrick's Day Shenanigans

A little late on this one, but here goes: Last week I had two nights of St. Patrick's Day "celebration". The first was the Saturday night before the actual holiday, where I went to a popular local Irish Pub called Fadó's with my on-broadway friend from high school, Summer Broyhill. Actually, we didn't even really plan on going to an Irish pub, but since she didn't have much time to hang, we just went to one of the closest places I could think of. Although the cover was $5, the music was way too loud, and the place was packed full of Frat-tastic douchebags and many a Sorostitute, we still had a decent time. That said, I was pretty happy to leave.

Then on Tuesday (actual St. Patrick's Day), I went out with my friends Scott and Amy for a casual night out at a local bar, the three of us intentionally staying away from anything particularly Irish (none of us are really into the holiday). Still, I wore green, Scott had an Irish car bomb, and we split some green Miller Lite, so we were sort of in the mood, I guess...

So, apart from a strange and potentially dangerous encounter with a bum afterwards, my St. Patrick's Day this year was once again generally unmemorable, as I tend to like it. Hell, even my British student's mom said she thought the holiday was stupid, so I don't feel so bad agreeing with her... =)
