Rooftop Party

Just short of two weeks ago, Candace and I went to a joint graduation party one of her friends from school/work was having on top of an apartment building downtown. Now, although the party allegedly got extremely busy by the end, we arrived fairly early and I had to take off about an hour into it to see Today the Moon Tomorrow the Sun, so I only saw it when it was a small collection of about twelve people or so (including two Asian DJs playing smart hip-hop and the like).

Still, it was fun meeting one of Candace's friends (and her boyfriend...supposedly we'll be doing stuff as couples now, especially considering they live right around the corner from me), and I had never been to a party on top of a building before (with a possible exception being this time in Berlin where a group of friends toasted a friend's birthday for about 15 minutes on top of a tall building with a great view), so I had a fun time, despite being there for only a short while.

Interestingly enough, although my potential guitarist Jeremy and I had no friends in common at this party, he somehow ended up there later that night too (when it was apparently really busy). Small world!
