"Candace and I"

As I was sitting here typing up a different post, I suddenly realized how relevant it would be to write about one of the most common phrases I tend to use in this blog: "Candace and I." This wasn't, however, the first time I became aware of this trend. In fact, I often find myself wondering if my readers have come to the same realization, possibly asking themselves what it is I actually do apart from my girlfriend...

The answer to this question is complicated, but the basic gist goes something like this:

Here in Atlanta, I don't really do anything by myself that's worth blogging about. Sure there are the posts on music, movies, and video games, but these aren't really activities so much as musings on a given subject. So, what this leaves me with are two kinds of posts: those concerning my thoughts and those concerning the things I do out in the real world, which most of the time are done with Candace.

So, do I have a life outside of Candace and my varied introverted diversions? No, not really, but I don't think this is a reflection of the nature of our relationship so much as it is of my social environment here (or lack thereof).

I wonder what Candace has to say about all this! ;-)
