San Francisco Recap

So, I've finally gotten around to posting all of my pics from my San Francisco trip on Facebook. Have a look:

San Francisco w/Candace (Part II)
San Francisco w/Candace (Part III)
San Francisco w/Candace (Part IV)

Although it was difficult to be objective about my trip right afterwards, especially considering it was fairly draining, I can now safely say it was one of the highlights of my time back in the States. Not only is San Francisco a little bit of Europe-in-America (and therefore reminded me of my time in the NL), but it's also just a fantastic place to tour, and Candace and I now have some nice memories to go along with it.

As far as whether or not I feel like moving out there, the answer is twofold: yes, I would like to move out there, as it's an amazing city, but no, now doesn't feel like the right time. The main impetus for moving out there career-wise was the city's reputation as one of the best places in the States to try to start a DJing career, but at this point, I'm not convinced this is something I'm totally committed to, especially were it to be the sort of thing I would really have to fight for despite not having much confirmation along the way. Plus, SF is a great city, but it's also pretty expensive, so without having a clear reason for being out there, I'm not sure it makes sense financially. Finally, although SF is as close to a European city in the States as I've seen, it still falls short and ultimately couldn't replace the special place Europe has in my heart.

So, I'm not moving there now, but maybe one of these days it'll be a much more reasonable proposition. Until then, I'll just have to be sure to keep visiting every few years or so!
