Sur la Table on South Park

So, I love South Park...mostly for its fresh social/political humor, but of course also a bit for how crude it can be (which is refreshing on TV). Now, I've known you can watch full episodes of the show on the show's website for awhile now, but I never really took advantage of it until recently. Now I've been going through all of the current season's shows and have been enjoying every minute of it.

One of my favorite episodes I've seen thus far, called Margaritaville, is the one which somehow compares the economic recession of today with the Biblical context of the Jesus story, resulting in a really charming story. Anyway, in addition to loving the story as a whole, there was one scene in particular that had me laughing a good bit. In it, Stan is trying to return a Margaritaville blender his dad bought to help ease the family's financial burdens...the funny part is that he's returning it to the mall store Sur la Table. See, although I've never been in a Sur la Table, every time I pass it I pronounce the store's name in as distinctly a French accent as I can manage, admittedly being a little too proud of my grasp of French pronunciation I gained from living in Europe.

Well, South Park put me in my place...just watch the scene and you'll see what I mean. Gotta love this show!
