I'm a bit behind on my blog now due to all the wedding stuff that's been going on, but it's over now, so I'm going to try to catch up by doing a flurry of wedding-related posts, this one on the rehearsal on Friday:
The rehearsal was a mixed experience for me. On one hand, I was really glad to finally get the wedding rolling (as it had been building up for the past few months), but on the other, the service was set to be REALLY churchy, and this was my first exposure to this. So, unlike the wedding itself, during the rehearsal I didn't feel bad for occasionally reacting to certain things said by rolling my eyes (although hopefully not too obviously). Although this kind of service was most likely the right thing for my sister and her husband, I don't think I want my wedding to be religious - it's just not me, and most likely won't be something my someday bride to be will be into either.
Anyway, the rehearsal went well, despite the Nazi of a wedding coordinator's attempts to make it hard for all of us. It was good to finally see the whole wedding party together, and it also was the first time I had met two of the five other groomsmen (having not gone to the bachelor's party in Charlotte a couple weeks before).
