Having tired of just playing LIFE every once in a while, Candace and I took a trip to Toys R Us the other day to try to find something else to play. While we had a hard time finding anything that fit what we both liked in a board game (I abhor party games, and she's not too into anything fighting-oriented), we settled on Yahtzee. Although Yahtzee IS neat, after playing a single game, I came to a couple realizations:
1.) Yahtzee is the kind of game you usually only wanna play once per sitting
2.) Yahtzee is a rip-off...all you technically need to play is one die and the knowledge of how the game is scored/played (which you could easily find on the internet)
Even still, I'm glad we got it, because the numbers aspect of the game really appeals to me, and it's a good way to while away some free time with two people. Other options we were considering were Scrabble, Sorry, and even the delightful Mouse Trap (a childhood favorite I wasn't even aware was still on the market).
