Rubik's Revenge

I'm a bit behind on the blog right now, but that's okay because I feel I've got a number of things I would like to write about, so it should be easy to catch up. Although Candace and my night at the Paramore concert preceded the acquisition of my new Rubik's Cube, it's late at night right now, and I want to keep this one short, so Rubik's it is...

Got my 4x4x4 in the mail today (formally known as the Rubik's Revenge...of the Sith). Kinda to my surprise, this is my favorite Rubik's Cube yet. It looks nice, its larger size makes it more challenging, and it moves really fast (unlike my horribly sluggish 3x3x3 my sister got as a gift at work and then passed on to me). Although it did take me some time to beat it (with the help of a website), I did do so within 12 hours of getting it. The concept behind solving it is built on the 3x3x3, but with a few more steps to set it up to act like a 3x3x3, so it was fairly easy to wrap my brain around.

Now I've just got to memorize and get fast at it, and I'll be moving on to a 5x5x5!
