Candace's Birthday

Yesterday was Candace's birthday, so we started the evening with me treating her to a tasty dinner at one of Atlanta's trendy restaurants, Two Urban Licks, where I had calamari, she had scallops, and we both shared the delicious salmon chips seen above.

After dinner, we headed over to Olives Waterside, a martini bar just off the beltway where we had won a semi-private party for up to 50 guests where drinks were free for an hour. Although we were only able to bring in nine guests (not counting us) on such a busy weekend, we all got about four well drinks (albeit fairly watered down), and catching up with some of my friends from high school (and one from my time in The Netherlands) was nice.

Finally, we ended the night with a supposedly group trip to MJQ for some dancing, but our group ended up bailing out for whatever reason, so Candace and I just did our typical night there alone, but eventually took off after growing tired of everyone standing still watching the break dancers doing their thing the whole time. Ultimately the night was pretty fun, and it was really nice getting to spend such a relatively eventful evening with my girlfriend on her birthday.
