Now that I'm finally moving out of my parents' place, I've got to start considering exactly which belongings I'll be taking with me over to Evan's complex. The odd thing about this is that I've never moved between places this close together while still being able to keep stuff at the first place, which makes it easy to just take the essential stuff over to the new apartment, at least at first. Granted, someday my parents WILL move out of this house, but until then I don't have to worry about my extra stuff that's just sitting around.
So, what will I take to the new apartment then? Well, there's the basics like clothes (at least the ones I wear regularly), a bed, sheets, towels, toiletries, some furniture (not sure what I have, but I'm sure I'll need a desk and maybe some drawers), and my computer setup. Then I'll want to have a TV for playing Xbox 360, my turntable stuff, and some of my instruments (most likely just those I use for teaching, plus my keyboard). This might sound like a lot, but it leaves out A LOT of junk...everything from old keepsakes and books to Magic cards, some CDs and DVDs, and plenty of other music-related paraphernalia. Of course, I can always bring these sorts of things over whenever I need them, considering the apartment is only about 20 minutes away from home.
