Art Stroll

Last night, Candace took me to this monthly Art Stroll in an upcoming indie party of Atlanta called Castleberry Hill. The basic idea here was that the numerous art galleries along the main street would be open and free to the public, oftentimes offering visitors drinks just for showing up. The galleries featured a mixture of different modern styles and media, but although I enjoyed the evening, I would say only a few pieces really stood out to me.

In the end, one of the biggest things I took away from the Art Stroll was the surprising realization that Atlanta has some sort of flourishing art district that attracts many indie/scenester types. Generally speaking, I like being around these kind of people, so regardless of how blown away I may or may not be by the art on display on any given month, I would almost consider going back just to be around the scene.
