I have a very busy few days ahead of me, starting with today. In an hour, I'll be leaving to head up towards Athens with Candace, where we'll spend the day relaxing before I set up my gear for the DJ gig tonight at Rye Bar. After the show, we'll spend the night in Athens, do breakfast in the morning, and head back to the ATL with enough time for a make-up piano lesson.
After this, Candace and I are joining my family for dinner prior to my church's big Easter play (this time at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, where we saw the Atlanta Ballet last weekend). Right after the show, I'll head over to Platinum for another night opening there, this time with guest DJ, Bryson Taylor.
The next day, I'll have to get up for a long day of teaching, first the ASYO theory class, then my rock piano student, and then my composition student, both of which were moved to Saturday due to conflicts the previous day.
Finally, on Sunday I have another moved lesson (my first guitar student) followed by Easter dinner at my house with my relatives. However, unlike previous Easters (in fact, every one I've been alive for), I don't believe I will be going to church this time.
And there you have it: two gigs (one out of town), an Easter show, a family gathering, a theory class, and four make-up lessons. Busier than usual on a weekend...
