Last night, Candace and I went to one of her J.Christopher's coworkers' drag shows at Sabroso, a Mexican place in the Little Five Points area. The evening basically consisted of a host in drag talking in between different drag numbers, each with one of five or so different drag stars shaking their stuff and collecting singles from the audience. We were there to support her coworker, but although he was good, the best from the group was this heavyset black guy who amazed everyone with his very fast and very high kicks (in heels!), a couple splits, and even a 360 degree front flip!
The other highlight for the evening was the drag host's decision to talk to me (as he did with a number of the other men in the audience), asking me which band I was in, eventually referring to me as "Killers." I had a feeling I was going to get talked to, but whatever... =)
