Current Financial State

I haven't talked about my professional life in a bit, largely due to wanting to see how a six week long (and continuing) downswing would affect me. It all started with finals season at the public schools, and although I was hoping that would just be a temporary setback, it seems it's only gotten worse with the onset of Summer holidays. The worst mess is certainly tied to anything and everything John's Creek: it seems any gig I get over there is bound to have at least one big bump in the road (more on this stuff in another post?). Then there was the foreseeable loss of my best-paying gig, the ASYO theory class, due to it being on a school-year semester basis, taking off for the Summer.

Fortunately, to prepare for the end of the theory class, I started putting flyers up again (as mentioned in a recent post). As it turns out, in two nights of putting out flyers I received three new clients, all of which pay my standard private teaching rate (which is significantly more than what I end up getting paid in John's Creek). All this said, I'm still not making near as much money as I need to, so I really need to get off my ass and start putting flyers up again. Wish me luck!
