Renaissance Festival

For our six month anniversary, Candace and I decided to do something a little different and spend the day at the Georgia Renaissance Festival in Fairburn, GA (just south of Atlanta). First off, here's the Facebook album:

The most surprising thing to me about this festival was that it wasn't shitty. I had been to the Georgia RenFest on a field trip, most likely in the 7th grade or so, and although I remembered it being fine, I assumed that having grown up I would have found the whole ordeal to be rather cheap and unpolished. Quite to the contrary, actually. It really seemed like the festival put a lot of time, money, and care into virtually everything there, and ultimately the only thing really bringing the festival down for me was the anachronistic geekdom of certain patrons dressing up for their day out.

Overall though, a fun and memorable day, and highly recommended!
