The Neverending Story

Yes, that's right, kids. Candace and I rented The Neverending Story the other night (mostly for nostalgic reasons), and I have to report it was surprisingly worth it. Now, don't get me wrong, not all THAT worth it, but way more than I was expecting. The thing that caught me about this movie, is that despite having loved it as a kid, I enjoyed it a fair amount as an adult. I tend to think this has a lot to do with my comparing the film to similar overly-CGI'ed kids' movies that come out these days and finding the old way of doing things MUCH better (just like Star Wars and 80's horror).

And yes, that's the real music video to Limahl's theme song from the film. Surprisingly, the single went on to become a #4 in the UK's charts in 1984 (and #6 in the States)!
