The Incredible Hulk
OMG. SO GOOD. Really. Believe it or not (I'm having a hard time doing so myself), I LOVED the new Hulk movie! Surprisingly, even more so than Iron Man.
Note: No spoilers here, but certainly a bit of potentially harmful hyping this film up in a big way! =)
I feel like everything Ang Lee did wrong in the last movie was fixed in this one: the CGI was more believable; the plot, script, and cinematography were much better; the music actually fit the film; and the movie had more than enough emotional involvement. Add to all this the fact that the acting (both as a whole, and in numerous cases on an individual level) was better in this film (even considering that was all that held the last movie together), and you've got something really great on your hands.
I don't want to talk this one into the ground, but I really was sitting on the edge of my seat (literally anxious) from the first action scene onwards. I can't remember seeing a movie this intense in a long time, so it really was special. And now my fears that Marvel's new takeover of their own product was going to be a here-and-there type affair have been allayed.
Great job, Marvel. Great job.
