MOON: Movie Trailer - Watch the best video clips here

This Summer there were only two movies I kept telling people were most certainly going to be excellent: Where The Wild Things Are and Moon. Well, over 4th of July weekend, I was ecstatic to see that Moon had finally landed in Atlanta after what looked to be an extremely limited national release schedule, and I went to see it as soon as possible after that.

Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't that Moon wasn't good, it's just that it wasn't stellar. It had gotten a lot of great reviews, looked to be kinda like a combination of Alien and 2001: A Space Odyssey, and seemed artsy, so I was pumped, but perhaps my expectations were just too high. Sure, the acting was good, and fortunately, the story doesn't play out as you might predict based on the trailer, but it just didn't really have much to say or really inspire any sort of connection with its handful of characters.

Oh well...here's hoping that Where The Wild Things Are will blow me away...
